Object: processes of management of bank profit. Objective: deepening of theoretical and methodological principles of management of banking institutions profit and developing of practical recommendations for improving the mechanism of its formation, distribution and evaluation. Methods: historical, abstract-logical, analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction, economic and statistical, graphical, economic analysis, economic modeling. Results: improved definition of notion " mechanism of banks profits control" as a set of tools, techniques and levers that ensure the development and implementation of management decisions through the interaction of internal structural services and departments of banks on certain aspects of formation of institutions profit and directed on achievement of long-term goals, classification of types of banks income through the introduction of new classification criteria "interdependence between profit and risk", which unlike existing defines its division into: high, sufficient, critical and insufficient. Use: in the activities of JSC "UkrSybbank" for developing of key strategic directions of profit management, PJSC "Idea Bank" to justify the main forecasted profitability of activities in the classroom Lviv Commercial Academy in preparing and teaching of disciplines "Financial management in the bank", "Analysis of banking activity", "Loans and control".
