Essay

A total of 140 patients with IM of different course of the disease have been investigated. It is shown that patients with IM were observed to have intensification of lipid peroxidation against the background of suppression of the antioxidant defense, which depended on the period and severity of the disease. Imbalance in the system LP/AOS was accompanied by changes in indicators of platelet hemostasis in patients with moderate and severe infectious mononucleosis. To correct these disorders there was used an inductor of endogenous interferon amixin IC and antiviral drug valаciclovir. Marked positive clinical, antioxidant, antiviral effect of this drug combination was noted.
