Essay

Dissertation is devoted to consideration of the phenomenon timbre of trombone in the context creative romantic composers. Purpose is to identify functionality timbre of trombone, especially "signedness" of timbre in orchestral works of composers of the XIX century. The concept is based on the thesis semiological approach as one of the most pressing contemporary musicology. This position allows us to consider not only the phenomenon of timbre as musicological category as a specific musical phenomenon, but as a special information-communicative phenomenon, able to transmit certain information layers. This makes it possible to detect that the indicative romantic musical timbre mind the idea personification is also characteristic for modern composition activity.
