Dissertation for the Ph.D. degree in physical and mathematical sciences, specialization 01.04.13 - physics of metals. - Frantsevich Institute for Problems of Materials Science, National Academy of Science of Ukraine, Кyiv, 2015. The dissertation is dedicated to experimental and theoretical study of structure and phase transformations regularities of thin film composition Cu/Sn, Sn/Cu, Cu/Mn, Sn/Cu/Mn, Pd/Ho under thermal treatment in vacuum and hydrogen ambient. Results of present research concern the influence of nanoscale factor, layers inversion and addition of an extra layer, ambient of thermal treatment and phase formation processes фе the outer surface on diffusion phase formation in thin solid films. Analytical and phenomenological models on diffusion phase formation in the bulk and "bottom" layer material oxide growth on the outer surface of thin solid films via different diffusion mechanisms have been developed. Basing on these models the criteria for thermal treatment parameters and regimes at which enhanced stability of thin film elements is ensured are suggest.
