The methodological and practical principles of formation process of diversification of farms based on existing theories that are widely reflected in the domestic and foreign literature are studied in the dissertation. The essence of the economic category of "diversification", the main factors of macro and micro, under which realized its benefits disclosed conditions that determine the features of diversification in agriculture, the criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of the process of diversification of farms are studied. It is established that diversification in agriculture reduces risk activity promotes development of new technologies, better use of resources. The mechanism of the formation and implementation of the diversification of agricultural enterprises is studied. A methodical support of the implementation process of diversification, areas exposed to diversify production activities of the agricultural sector.
