Essay

Dissertation is devoted to research of postmodern literary fiction. The study outlines the concept of «literary fiction», presents several definitions of the term, and analyses the main theories of fantastic literature. Also in this research, the Croatian literary fiction is divided by periods, the term «the Croatian fantasts» is defined, and the literary studies devoted to «fantasts» are overviewed. The postmodern literary fiction is researched as based on the works of the Croatian «fantasts», namely, Goran Tribuson, Pavao Pavliсhich, and Vesna Biga. Their collections of short fiction and novels are researched.
