Timoshchenko N. Treatment of the zygomatic complex fractures with correction of a condition of the neuro-muscular device.

On the basis of analysis of archive case records from maxillo-facial clinics of Bogomolets NMU the analysis of structure of traumatism of a zygomatic complex was carried out, investigated dynamics and nature of its changes for the period 2006–2010, and also nature of damages of the neuro-muscular device of traumatic genesis was investigated. It was carried out complex clinical and functional diagnostics of the neuro-muscular device at patients with changes of a zygomatic complex using of a spiral computer tomography with 3D reconstruction and the subsequent interpretation of results by means of the software SimPlant (Materialise Software, Belgium) and ClearCanvas Workstation 2.0 Alpha (ClearCanvas Іnk.), electroneuromyography and rheography, that gave the chance to estimate dynamics of a functional condition of chewing muscles, various damage rate of an infraorbital nerve at patients with different types of zygomatic complex fractures. The scheme of pathogenetic therapy for patients with a traumatic neuropathy of an infraorbital nerve as a result of zygomatic complex fracture and treatment of the zygomatic complex fracture complicated by a masseter contracture were developed. Using the offered techniques of treatment of patients with zygomatic complex fracture which were accompanied by violations in the neuro-muscular device, allowed to reach positive functional result of treatment in 91 % of cases.
