Palamarciuk C. Stimulation of regeneration bone tissue of periapical areas in the treatment of chronic apical periodontitis

The dissertation sis is devoted to the decision of the actual task of modern dentistry - improving the treatment of patients with chronic apical periodontitis by a combination of drugs that enhance regeneration in the periapical tissues. For temporary filling of root canals in the treatment of chronic apical periodontitis proposed drug composition comprising alflutop for temporary filling of root canals. Experimental histopathological and biochemical studies on animals revealed a significant stimulating effect of the proposed drug compositions on the jaw bone regeneration. Microbiological investigations showed antibacterial activity of the composition against to the mixed microflora of root canals. Evaluation of the clinical efficacy of the proposed drug composition comprising alflutop for temporary filling of root canals in the treatment of 106 patients with chronic apical periodontitis. The high efficiency of the proposed drug compositions for temporary filling of root canals in the treatment of chronic apical periodontitis in immediate and long-term periods of observation was revealed.
