Essay

The scheme of inventory and monitoring of bat summer population in forests using mist nets was developed and approved on six natural territories of East European Plain central part. For the first time in Ukraine was realized comparison of data obtained by two different methods on one territory. Data on distribution of 17 bat species on the territory of Ukraine and Russia were specified. Results of research of species composition, relative abundance, sex ratio, reproductive status and success of mist net captures are discussed.
