The thesis suggests an alternative approach to defining theoretical and methodological recommendations for developing a model of economic mechanism of supporting social security of machine-building enterprises. The author outlines theoretical peculiarities of managing social security system of an enterprise as well as defines and systemizes components of concept of enterprise's social security assessment. Assessment procedure is described in the thesis; social stability of machine-building enterprises is examined. Assessment components are defined; the assessment procedure has been applied to practice. The author suggests a model of economic mechanism for support of enterprise's social security. Methodological basis for carrying out analysis and assessment is provided and described in the thesis. Components of social security system of an enterprise are defined; ways of enhancing levels of social security of an enterprise are outlined.
