Kanyuka I. The principle of the procedural economy in the criminal law proceedings of Ukraine

The thesis is devoted to the complex research concepts, the content and mechanism of the principle of procedural economy in the criminal law proceedings of Ukraine. In this paper the necessity of simplifying and speeding up the criminal procedural activities is proved. The historical development and establishment of the principle of procedural economy, the relationship of this principle with other principles of criminal proceedings are investigated. Based on the current legislation and scientific papers of the scientists working in the processual field the mechanism of the principle of procedural economy during the pre-trial investigation and court stages is studied. The necessity of introducing a wider differentiation of Criminal Procedure form is proved and specific ways of its implementing in the legislative process in Ukraine are suggested. The study formulates suggestions aimed at improving the part of the criminal procedural law which governs the implementation of the principle of procedural economy in the criminal proceedings.
