It is proved in the work that one of the guarantees of the right to health care is a mandatory state medical insurance. It is a type of compulsory state social insurance, aimed at ensuring the constitutional right of citizens to health care. Medical insurance is a system of rights and obligations and guarantees of their implementation, insured, insurers and medical services providers. This system provides financial and medical support to insured persons for the prevention and treatment of diseases, injuries, poisonings, pathological conditions, related to pregnancy and childbirth, buying drug and prosthetic facilities, and provision of social services for the money of Medical Insurance Fund that are derived from premiums and other not prohibited sources in cases, under the terms, at the extent and in the manner, prescribed by law.
