This thesis is devoted to increase the effectiveness of VVER-1000 containment cooling down under accident conditions by developing a passive system of decay heat removal (C-PHRS) on the basis of two-phase annular thermosyphons . A new passive contatinment cooling system is offered at failures in accidents with long blackout using annular two-phase thermosyphons, which does not depend of a power supply and intervention of operating personnel. A justified comprehensive саlculation modeling of C-PHRS is carried out through the use of software tools in NPP long-term power blackout
