Essay

The object of research: industrial titanium alloys after thermodiffusion carbonitriding. The purpose of work - to determine the regularities of the formation of phase-structural state of near-surface layers of titanium alloys at thermodiffusion saturation from carbon-nitrogen-containing medium, containing the powder and gas components, and develop the approaches to form the carbonitrides of given composition with improved anticorrosion properties on the surface of titanium alloys. It has been determined the scientific and technical task of increasing the corrosion resistance of the industrial titanium alloys by development of carbonitriding methods in carbon-nitrogen-containing medium, containing the powder and gas components, which have the regulated concentration of carbon and nitrogen, and, therefore, the composition of formed carbonitride is provided by the oxygen potential of the gas component of medium and the increase of the activity of its powdery carbon-containing component by activators.
