Sіdorov O. Psychological mechanisms of intercommunication of suicidal tendencies with the level of self-appraisal in a student environment.

This research is devoted to the studying the problem of suicidal tendencies in student environment. Basic scientific approaches to the problem of suicide of personality and psychological features of self-appraisal of modern youth are analyzed. Essence of term "suicidal tendencies" and differentiation of mechanisms of their development are described. The are discovered basic vectors of forming of suicidal ideas of modern youth, example inadequate self-esteem, low interest in life subjective control, personal immaturity, social pessimism and presented basic strategies of prevention of this undesirable phenomenon. The mechanisms of interdependence suicidal tendencies with a self-appraisal and other spheres of personality, including the value field, locus of control, mechanisms psychological protection and others, are empirically reasonable. It is well-proven that a constructive impact on self-esteem and potential suicider not only positively affects the level of suicide risk, but also contributes to the successful re-socialization.
