The thesis work addresses the theoretical and practical aspects of the jury's verdict in the criminal process aiming to develop the conceptual basis of its legal model as of a form of judicial decision and to elaborate applicable scientific recommendations on the procedure of its enactment. The thesis researches the genesis of the jury verdict practices in the foreign and domestic judicial procedure as well as the procedural and epistemological aspects of the acting Ukrainian procedure on criminal proceedings consideration by jury trial. Its results revealed the procedure's weaknesses and practical recommendations have been developed on measures to address them. Implementation of such measures will significantly improve the quality of the jury's decisions. We have formulated our authorial definitions of the following concepts: "verdict of the jury", "personal conviction formation mechanism", "juror's perception" and determined their attributes and semantic meaning.
