Essay

The dissertation deals with the topical problem of scientific justification and development of a new method of air distribution in the constrained conditions of production rooms with surplus heat, which would provide normative air environment parameters. Based on the analysis held, the use of displacement ventilation provided by low-velocity air diffusers is justified. A significant impact of inlet jets on the distribution of air parameters in the constrained conditions of heat - stressed production rooms is proved analytically and experimentally. As a result of development of a physical conceptual model based on balance equations of heat - and - mass transfer processes in typical areas of heat-stressed rooms, the need for minimization of inlet jet inflow into the convective currents is shown. Based on the analysis of the known theories, analytical dependences are proposed for the jet flowing from a perforated surface, and dependences to determine its parameters are derived. Two - chamber low-velocity panel - sectional air diffusers are proposed to provide displacement ventilation. As a result of extensive research into air change organization in rooms with a different number and arrangement of heat sources and with different types, number and arrangement of air diffusers, a suitable scheme of air change in the constrained conditions of production rooms with surplus heat is proposed. A range of air diffuser types and their engineering design are proposed. A feasibility study of the use of the proposed air diffusers in displacement ventilation systems has been carried out. A displacement ventilation system based on low-velocity panel-sectional air diffusers has been installed at the private production facility "Polyurethane technologies" (Lviv region). The features of design of a ventilation system based on low - velocity panel - sectional air diffusers have been implemented in design practices of the science and research cooperative "Caravan" (Lviv).
