The dissertation deals with legal ensuring of the use of freshwater sources in Ukraine, the formulation of theoretical basis and practical recommendations for improving the legislations in this sphere. In the present work there is determined the content and features of legal ensuring of the use of freshwater sources, analyzed the principles of legal ensuring of the use of freshwater sources. There is defined the subinstute of use of freshwater sources in the nature resources law of Ukraine, considered the organizational and legal means of environmental security in the sphere of the use of freshwater sources.
