Kovalevsky Y. Statistical analysis of correlation between the supply and demand of labor in Ukraine

The thesis is devoted to the further development of theoretical and methodological foundations of the statistical analysis of demand and supply of labor, assessing their correlation and differentiation in sectoral and regional aspects. The methodological bases of complex statistical analysis of demand and supply of labor from the systematical standpoint is improved. The dissertation offers conceptual scheme of gradual research of their correlation. The analysis of proportional distribution of demand and supply of labor in relation to the economically active population is held. The thesis adapts multivariate clustering methods for the isolation of homogeneous areas with the similar structure of demand and supply of labor force in various sectors of economic activity. Methodical approach is offered which concerns the rating evaluation of regions of country on the indexes of demand and supply of labour force. The thesis stresses the proportional analysis of division of demand and supply of labor force in relation to the economically active population. It outlines adapted forecasting methods for determining the supply and demand of labor in professionally - qualifying section to meet the future needs of the economy in skilled workforce and overcome the mismatch between demand and supply of labor in different types of economy activity.
