Matskevych A. Typology of semantic and pragmatic means of modality expression in Ukrainian and Arabic publicistic text

The thesis suggests a new contrastive approach to determination of types of semantic-pragmatic means of modality expression in Ukrainian and Arabic publicistic text; complex methods for the contrastive typological analysis of modality as the anthropocentric semantic-pragmatic category of the text have been developed; contrastive interpretation of semantic means of modality expression in Ukrainian and Arabic publicistic text has been implemented; types of pragmatic means of modality expression and the description of their correlation with semantic means in Ukrainian and Arabic publicistic text have been revealed; typological regularities of semantic-pragmatic means of modality expression as well as their different features in Ukrainian and Arabic publicistic text have been determined.
