Thesis is dedicated to deepening theoretical principles of state regulation of innovative processes and justification of practical recommendations for their improvement. Macroeconomic significance of the regulatory functions of the state in the field of innovative activity based on the proposed model interactions between innovation, competition and competitiveness in promoting national economic development is grounded. The essence of the innovative process is defined. The features of the national model for innovative processes are analyzed. Sectoral priorities of government regulation of innovative processes in Ukraine are founded. The features of innovative processes in Ukraine are characterized. Strategic goals of stimulation of innovative processes are identified. The prospects of implementation of international experience to stimulate innovative processes in Ukraine are grounded. The activation of public-private partnership in the implementation of innovative projects is investigated. Directions strengthening regulatory mechanisms of state regulation of innovative processes in the context of globalization are grounded. Strengths and weaknesses of the innovative economy of Ukraine according to the Global Innovation Index are analyzed. Conceptual bases of state regulation of innovative processes on the basis of interaction between innovation, competition and competitiveness are developed. The feasibility of public-private partnership based on specifying areas of implementation of PPP models in science and innovation in Ukraine is proved. The mechanisms of state regulation implementing innovative processes based on the basis of interaction between innovation, competition and competitiveness are proposed
