Pryvalova O. State Competition Policy in the Life Insurance Market

This thesis develops theoretical positions, methodological approaches and practical recommendations for development and implementation of state competition policy in the life insurance market in Ukraine. The author defines theoretical positions of the essence of life insurance as an object of state competition policy. The author also analyzes aspects and significance of state competition policy in the life insurance market and defines such concepts and definitions as "life insurance market", "competition in the life insurance market". The thesis defines the basic models of competition policy in the global life insurance market, and studies special aspects of the state competition policy-making in the life insurance market. As a result of research the competitive environment in the life insurance market is assessed and defined as moderately concentrated and monopolistic. The author establishes systematic approach to state competition policy-making of long-term life insurance, and identifies development factors of the competitive environment, proposes a theoretical and methodological approach to developing a state competition policy strategy in the life insurance market of Ukraine
