Essay

Object - stationary and transient electromagnetic fields in the different spatial configurations of metal nanowires with circular cross section. Purpose - study of stationary and transient electromagnetic fields in the structures of different spatial morphology that consisting of parallel metal nanowires placed in a nondispersive dielectric. Methods - theory of functions of complex variables, mathematical physics, numerical analysis. Results - plasmon resonances of the isolated metal wire and shell has been studied, bulk and surface plasmons are considered; eigenmodes of metal wires arranged at the vertices of an equilateral triangle or square has been studied; "hot spots" of the near fields in systems of nanowires on the spatial scale much smaller than the wavelength are investigated; the excitation of surface plasmons of a metal wire and a shell by external transient source has been investigated. Implementation - in scientific research projects at KhNURE and international competitive project in frameworks of international cooperation between KhNURE and its foreign partners (University of Friedrich Schiller of Jena (Germany)). Applications - fabrication and simulation of sensors, nanoantennas, nanolasers
