Essay

In this study, we analyzed state of the immune system neonates with transposition of the great arteries (TGA) after transfusion autologous umbilical cord blood (AUCB) during cardiac surgery. An important task is to find markers of safety and effectiveness of AUCB in neonatal. Based on the results of the research conducted it was determined that transfusion of donor blood high in anti-heat shock protein 60 (Hsp60) antibodies to neonates with TGA leads to the increase of the inflammatory process in neonatal organism and to the enlargement of some complications. The therapeutic effect of autologous umbilical cord blood to the neonatal organisms' was shown by means of the cytokine profile research, clinical blood analysis, fetal hemoglobin determination and some clinical indicants of the patients with TGA. Resulting priority data should be taken into considerations while creating new diagnostic approaches in using umbilical cord blood in neonates' surgery with congenital heart disease.
