Essay

The thesis analyzes scientific and publishing activities of the Polish Heraldry Society between the period from 1906 to 1939. The Heraldry Society was found by Polish heraldry expert and editor F. Pekosynskyi alongside with some Lviv scholars and public figures. It was established in 1906 in Lviv. The organization was renamed Polish Heraldry Society in 1926. This institution had branches in Lviv and Warsaw. The Polish Heraldry Society ceased its activities with the beginning of World War II. During 33 years of its existence the Polish Heraldry Society was a leading research institution that patronized specialized historical studies.
