The concept and place of the Department of State Guard of Ukraine in the system of law enforcement has been determined. Essence and features of the administrative-legal bases of activities of the Department of State Guard of Ukraine has been reviewed. Objectives and powers of the Department of State Guard of Ukraine, the rights, duties and guarantees of its military personnel have been characterized. The specificity of the interaction of the Department of State Guard of Ukraine with public authorities and the public has been determined.
