A research object is a process of realization of state control in the sphere of economic activities. A research aim is development of theoretical positions and scientific ground of organizational and legal foundations of raising the effectiveness of the mechanism of the state control over economic activities. Research methods are system, critical, comparative analysis, abstractly-logical, logical generalization, structural-functional, aggregating, analogies. The practical value of the got results consists in that drawn conclusion and suggestions can be used in the process of improvement of legislation at forming of conceptual principles of reformation of system of the state control over economic activity. The scientific novelty of the got results consists in development of theoretical, methodical and practical positions that expose essence of organizational and legal foundations of raising the effectiveness of the mechanism of the state control over economic activities. A concept of organization and realization of the state control over economic activities has been first developed. Maintenance of state control in state administration, definition of the term "state control over economic activities", the algorithm of ascertaining a subject's guilt of violating the rules of economic activities has been improved. The main features, which characterize the substance of management mechanisms, qualifying features of infringement components (object, objective side, subject, subjective side), directions of raising the efficiency of the mechanism of the state control over economic activities got further development.
