Essay

The thesis is devoted to optimization of breast cancer (BC) selective screening diagnostic algorithms in women. It is shown that the incidence reaches peak in age of 60-69 years with prevalence rates in urban female population (58.1 per 100 thousand. vs rural female population - 36.7 per 100 thousand) and has a tendency to increase by 13 % in 6 years. Unsatisfactory level and dynamics of indicator for advanced BC in urban and rural residents (22.97 % and 24.82 %, respectively had stage III and IV) were found. The computer program was created for determining BC risk groups based on survey of the female population, which by means of mathematical modeling has identified 14 criteria of formation BC risk factors, the most important of which are: mastitis (OR 55.3; 95 % CI 11,6- 991.9), menarche till age of 12 years (OR 18.8; 95 % CI 3,6-344,7), alcoholism (OR 17.5; 95 % CI 2,2-639,6), five more abortions (miscarriages) (OR 12.4; 95 % CI 2,0-238,7), first pregnancy after 28 years (OR 10.3; 95 % CI 2,6-40,1). The implemented model of BC selective screening is more efficient compared with existing 2 times in diagnostically and 7 times economically.
