Essay

The dissertation highlights the problem of teaching a foreign language to students of economics universities through multimedia technologies. The analysis of psychological and pedagogical literature as for modern forms, methods and tools of teaching a foreign language at university has been done. The term "web-case" has been introduced and multimedia technologies have been defined in the context of the work. The didactic conditions that improve the level of mastering a foreign language have been outlined as well as the criteria (speaking, reading, writing and listening comprehension skills) with their descriptors at each level (basic, intermediate and advanced). The relevant didactic model that consists of the preparation, practice and assessment-and-control stages has been built, scientifically approved, tried and tested. Theoretically and experimentally approved results of the research can be used by teachers (for writing scientific and methodical works, etc.), students (for writing term papers, theses, master's theses), postgraduate students.
