The role of staffing within the activity of internal affairs agencies of Ukraine considering historical backgrounds of its formation and development is defined in the thesis. The nature and tasks, principles, forms, methods and procedures of staffing within internal affairs agencies of Ukraine are found out. The structure of the staff of internal affairs agencies focusing on the problems of classification is analyzed.
