The thesis deals with a new approach to the study of cognitive and onomasiological analysis of intertextuality; the methods for the cognitive and onomasiological reconstruction of the intertextual motives in ancient Greek and Latin epigrams were developed; the features of the intertextual structure of the ancient literary epigrams based on the Palatine Anthology texts and Mark Valery Martial collections were characterized; common and different sources of the intertextuality of Greek and Latin epigrams were determined; there were reconstructed the external and internal forms of signs-actualizators of the intertextual motives and prototypes in ancient epigrams; the sources of the intertextual conceptualization of poetic space of Greek and Latin epigrams were found out.
