The thesis is dedicated to the integral analysis of the concept FAMILY verbalization in the modern German newspaper discourse. The actualization ways of the notional-evaluative component of the concept FAMILY in German are pointed in the dissertation. Attention is focused on the metaphorical profiling of the concept FAMILY in modern German newspaper discourse. The own formed taxonomy of metaphorical (sub)models, through which the concept FAMILY is profiled, is used and the quantitative analysis is realized for the determination of theirs frequency potential.
