The paper investigates the actualization of the concept CONFLICT in the modern English political discourse within the framework of lingvocultural and cognitive-discursive approaches to the concept research. The concept CONFLICT is interpreted as a unit of mental resources of consciousness and informative structure that reflects knowledge and experience of a person. It is a basic unit of storage and transfer of information, which is loaded with the lingvocultural informing, so it reflects the peculiarities of a certain lingvoculture.
