Essay

The thesis is focused on the problems of the using of EPrints system as a mean for communication and information support of scientific activities in the field of pedagogical sciences. The nature of the concepts of "information and communication support for research activities", "information and communication competence of scientific specialists" in the field of pedagogical sciences is clarified. The analysis of theoretical approaches to problems of communication and information support of scientific and pedagogical specialists in the field of pedagogical sciences is done; the model for communication and information support of scientific activity using of EРrints system developed and scientifically grounded, as well as the model of researchers' information and communication competence development in the field of pedagogical sciences is built. The recommendations on EPrints system using in the scientific activities in the field of pedagogical sciences are elaborated.
