Object of the investigation - niobium-titanium alloy type BH with oxide layers, which has been formed by methods of chemical and heat treatment on air. The purpose of work - to establish the regularities of high-temperature interaction of alloy type BH with oxygen of air and to develop on it basic the methods of its controlled oxidation to increase wear-resistance. The method of surface hardening to improve the wear resistance of alloy has been developed by forming a gas-saturated composite layer with the optimal content of oxide inclusions. The basic laws of the influence of temperature and time parameters of chemical and heat treatment of alloy on their structural-phase state has been established.
