Essay

In this thesis are defined fibrosis formation predictors in patients with chronic hepatitis C . There were differences in the frequency of IL-1b, IL-10 and ACE polymorphic genes genotypes between patients and practically healthy, between men and women with chronic hepatitis C and between patients with different disease course. Based on a logistic regression model it was revealed that T/T genotype of IL-1b gene, A/A genotype of IL-10 gene, I/I genotype of ACE gene, each year of life, the presence of type II diabetes mellitus and positive ANA significantly increased the likelihood of rapid progression rate of liver fibrosis formation in patients with chronic hepatitis C in 7.82, 5,99, 6,17, 1,06, 6,54 and 1,9 times, respectively.
