Essay

The thesis is dedicated to the study of contemporary issues of modern infectology which implies prognosis of the severity of the pertussis course, development of complications and improvement of the treatment efficacy of the disease in children during the first two years of life. Solution to the problem became possible due to thorough study of clinical and laboratory peculiarities of the course of disease. The course of immunological processes in children aged 1-24 months with pertussis of the mixed Th1/Th2 type and the development of "pertussis" anergy. The inclusion of comprehensive recombinant interferons to the complex treatment of children during first two years of life with pertussis has been substantiated.
