The aim of the research is the development of methodological and methodical provisions on statistical evaluation of the use of energy resources of Ukraine on national and regional levels. Object of research are energy resources of Ukraine. The subject of research are theoretical, methodological and practical aspects of statistical analysis and forecasting of energy resources of Ukraine. Research methods: scientific abstraction, comparison, analysis, generalization, logical, statistical (absolute, average and relative values, tabular and graphical, statistical forecasting, dynamics and structure, grouping, cluster analysis, correlation and regression analysis). Scientific novelty of the obtained results lies in the improvement of methodological and methodical aspects of a statistical study of energy resources; a comprehensive analysis and forecasting of their use at national and regional levels. For the first time: a conceptual approach to complex statistical study of the use of energy resources, ensure the implementation of scientifically-based statistical analysis on national and regional levels on the basis of statistical and administrative data. The results of a comprehensive analysis of the use of energy resources serve as the information base for management decisions at different levels of regulation of economy of Ukraine. Improved: - conceptual-categorical apparatus of statistical research on energy resources, taking into account modern international experience of energy statistics that will expand the understanding of energy resources as an object of statistical research; - the system of statistical indicators characterizing the use of energy resources. Further development: - procedure of statistical analysis system statistical models for evaluating the use of energy resources and their forecasting; - the application of cluster analysis methods for the new object of study-energy resources; - scientific and practical approaches to the synthesis of the results of statistical analysis and forecasting of key indicators of energy resources on national and regional levels on the basis of deepening the information base and the development of proposals on improvement of statistical analysis of energy resources; - information and analytical support for statistical analysis of the use of energy resources in the economy of Ukraine. The research results are embedded in the activities: State statistics service of Ukraine(№18.1-22/64-14, 18.06.2014), the private higher educational establishment " "Zapadnodonbasskiy Institute of Economics and management" (No. 175/40, 22.06.2012) and in the educational process of the National Academy of statistics, accounting and audit (No. 457, 23.06.2014), Kremenchug national University named after Mikhail Ostrogradsky (No. 09-10/996, 24.06.2014).
