Kaliuzhna M. Aphidiid wasps (Hymenoptera, Aphidiidae) of the forest-steppe zone of Ukraine

The dissertation is the first complex research on aphidiid wasps of the forest-steppe zone of Ukraine, their species composition, and special aspects of morphology, biology and distribution. Totally 60 species from 15 genera were recorded from the territory of research: 20 species from 5 genera - for the first time for the fauna of Ukraine, 14 species - for the first time for Ukrainian forest-steppe zone. For the first time some new morphological features of imago and preimaginal stages were studied, new diagnostic features were proposed and original identification keys to the genera and species of aphidiid wasps of the forest-steppe zone of Ukraine were created; the behavior of the last instar larva was studied, host-parasite relationships and distribution of species were specified.
