Essay

The thesis deals with the current problem of internal medicine, i.e. improvement of early diagnosis and optimization of treatment of chronic heart failure (HF) resulting from ischemic heart disease associated with concomitant autoimmune thyroiditis. Character of changes of structural functional indices of the heart and basic metabolic parameters in this patient population in preserved and reduced functional activity of the thyroid gland (TG) under the conditions of chronic influence of low doses of ionizing emission (IE) in professional use was established. On the basis of revealed most important pathogenetic mechanisms, the method of early diagnosis of diastolic HF was elaborated and expediency of screening examination of the hypophysial thyroid system was grounded. The appointment of biogenic agent with antioxidant properties of sodium selenite in combination treatment of revealed disturbances was substantiated and its efficacy was shown
