Vysotska S. Formation of the genre leitmotiv in the English novel of the second half of the XXth century

The object: literary works of English novelists of the second half of the XXth century; The aim: to work out the definition of genre dominant in discourse of postmodern novel, which represented in the context of creative dialogue in modern English novel with Victorian tradition; The method: hermeneutic method, elements of historical-typological, functional, comparative, structural research strategies; The novelty: for the first time on the material of comparision of Victorian and post-modern English novel the radical difference between the dominant genre in the context of the evolution of the genre priorities is ascertained; The results: the specifics of literary ideas about main conception of developing in British literature of the last decades in comparison to its classic heritage of the Victorian times are qualificated; the theory of genres of M.
