Sherstyuk A. Immunological and biochemical peculiarities of adenoviral conjunctivitis course and their treatment

The dissertation deals with the problem of increased efficacy treatment of adenoviral conjunctivitis by application of sound schemes combined treatment with the inclusion probiotik subalin. The results of clinical examination of 210 patients (368 eyes) with adenoviral conjunctivitis in age from 18 to 72 years. A comparable analysis of the clinical signs of the illness in three clinical groups of patients: the disappearance of edema of eyelids and mucous membranes (at 2.39, 3.12, 2.92 days, respectively), the disappearance of follicles (previously at 5.29, 5.22, 5.14 days, respectively), the effects of inflammation subsided (at 5.16, 4.95, 5.95 days, respectively) (p <0.05 in all cases), recovery (more on 4.01, 6.42, 5.0 days) compared with the control group (p <0.01). Practical recommendations for new treatment of adenovirus eye infections with the inclusion of probiotic subalin shown the need to identify flora and its susceptibility to antibiotics, study oxidoreductase activity, S-IgA in tear fluid of patients to determine the effectiveness of therapy.
