Burova O. Resource potential of rural areas and the efficiency of its use

In this dissertation theoretical and methodological principles and practical recommendations for the effective use of the resource potential of rural areas of the region are developed. Social and economic essence of the resource potential of rural areas is justified; its structure is defined and supplemented. The current state of socio-demographic, economic potential of rural areas is analyzed, which allowed to carry out assessment of the consistency between them and to predict the level of use of resource potential in the existing conditions. The integral index of the rural population by socio-cultural destination for its optimization has been calculated. The recommendations on the development of rural tourism, which is a prerequisite for effective use of resource potential of rural areas, are developed. According to the results of the conducted research work, the directions of state support for the development of rural areas in the region with the European standards based on diversification of economic activities in rural communities and the development of agricultural service cooperatives are founded.
