The thesis defines peculiarities of investigation of violations of the procedures for handling scrap metal. Scientific analysis of the current legislation of Ukraine that governs the specified group of relationships in the sphere of economic management has been carried out. The basic concepts of the criminalistic characterization of the specified crimes have been developed, typical traces of crime have been established, personal characteristic of the crime perpetrator has been disclosed. The author of the thesis has as well highlighted the methods and the situation of the crime under article 213 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
