Paur I. Post Card as a Source of Research of Sociocultural Environment and Historical Topography of Kamyanets-Podilskyj (late XIX - earl XX cent.).

In the dissertation, for the first time, based on archival and museum materials a full and comprehensive research of post cards as source ofresearch of sociocultural environment and historical topography of Kamyanets-Podilskyj (late XIX - earl XX cent.) is carried out. Dissertation deals with analyse of research's condition in Ukrainian and foreign historiography of the origins, variety, distribution of post cards on the territory of the Right-Bank Ukraine, in particular Kamyanets-Podilskyj. Accented, that this problem was not especially studied in historiography. Authors of published works have considered only the evolution of correspondent sheets in Ukraine, the author named publishers of post cards with photographic reproductions of Kamyanets-Podilskyj. The main pictorial and written sources on the research topic are defined, the basic methodology of the study and use of post cards as a historical source are considered, the most effective methods for decision of these tasks are determined.
