Babirad-Lazunin V. Informational and analytical support to the customs statistics in Ukraine.

Theoretical and methodological aspects of customs statistics in Ukraine and its place, functions and structure in the statistical science are defined. In addition, the thesis gives an analysis of the informational support of international trade statistical evaluation based on which recommendations to optimize reporting statistics of smuggling and customs violations are made. The methodological approaches to the construction of the evaluation index model of the conditions of the commodity of international trade were developed. As a result, a decomposed index system aimed at characterizing the conditions of international trade, namely, commodity chapters, groups and positions, was worked out. The suggested index system was used as the foundation for the creation of an integral index of trade conditions, which is based on hierarchical procedures of converging indices of average export and import prices into sub-indices of trade conditions, Fisher's methodology being applied. Methodological principles of the creation of price relationship index and index of geographical export/import structure were worked out. Based on it, a simulation index model, which will determine an indicator of currency gain (loss) affected by price and structural export/import factors, was developed.
