Social and personal intonational variation of English oral speech functioning on the territory of Australia is in the focus of present investigation.The conducted complex investigation of intonational and pronunciation peculiarities of Australian English allows to single out such manifestation parameters as age, gender and social belonging being displayed. The peculiarity of contemporary Australian language situation has been discovered, national specifics of "melodious" intonation which encloses the phonetic form and frequency use of rising-falling and rising tones has been found out.
