Dissertation is devoted to the research of theoretical and legal framework to regulate the layoffs in Ukraine. The paper analyzes the historical genesis of the legal order of layoffs and singled out the basic reasons and more layoffs. Determined categorial-conceptual apparatus "dismissal", "ground dismissal", "legal mechanism regulating the release of the employer", "legal mechanism for regulating the layoffs involving other subjects of labor law". The author analyzes the legal mechanism regulating the layoffs on the initiative of the employee and the employer. Examined legal mechanism regulating the layoffs involving other subjects of labor law. Listed concrete proposals and recommendations for improvement and development prospects of the order of layoffs.
