The dissertation is devoted to the study of theoretical, methodological and practical aspects of the improving the competitiveness of types of crops farmers. The essence of the category «interspecific competitive types of crops» has been specified. Causal relationships transformational changes in the twentieth century and early twenty-first century in competitive crops in Ukraine considering the use value types of domestic grain are revealed. There is the algorithm of alternatives to improve the competitiveness of grain farms. There are methodical approaches to assessing the forage crops competitiveness through volume of land and energy value of concentrated feed. The approaches to assess the competitiveness the competitiveness of cereals in choosing the most optimal use directly by comparison the amount of value added have been offered. The method of determining the competitiveness of commercial grain corn on the basis of using of hybrid seeds of various breeding, their properties and water yielding capacity and target use has been proposed and applied. Scientific approaches and practical suggestions to improve the competitiveness of types of grain in Ukraine that based on organizational and technological factors and innovation in cereal production in farms have been proposed.
