Theoretical, methodological and practical aspects of development of investment activity in agricultural production were scientifically grounded. Theoretical principles of investment and investment activity development, peculiarities of investment management in agricultural production were analyzed and generalized; methodical approaches to evaluate their effectiveness were improved. Modern conditions of investment activity implementation in agricultural production in macro- and meso-levels, its state and prospects of development were investigated. Strategy for improving the efficiency of investment activity in agricultural production was developed with an emphasis on its regional features, taking into account the current tendencies in the development of cluster structures of different types. Suggestions to improve the management of the investment activity development, including ensuring the implementation of the system of modeling and prediction of investment in the economy at its different levels, and at the regional level - basic tendencies to increase the efficiency of investment activity were grounded. Perspective tendencies of investment activity development in agricultural production by creating a favorable investment environment based on the coordination of supply and demand in the investment market and enhancement of investment activity monitoring were offered.
